Tying the Knot #27
: A love that feels like home
Quinn + Tommy
From a shared high school job to a swan-side proposal seven years later.
A story of laughter, quiet understanding, and a pink kite ring that felt unmistakably Quinn.

“We always had so much fun together and loved to laugh together.”

Q. How did you and Tommy meet, and what brought you together?
We met working together at a local breakfast restaurant in high school. We went to different schools but had a few of the same friends. We ended up going to prom together just as friends, and that turned into liking each other pretty quickly! We always had so much fun together and loved to laugh together.

Q. Tell us about the proposal!
For our 7 year anniversary, we had plans to go to a picnic at one of our favorite places, Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. We set up a blanket next to a pond with 2 swans swimming around. We got breakfast from a local coffee shop and brought it over. Tommy proposed and had his younger sister secretly taking photos. Then he surprised me with an engagement party of our closest friends and family at our favorite brewery!

Q: What made you fall in love with your HIDDENSPACE ring, and what does it mean to you now?
I have always loved looking at jewelry, so I knew I’d always want an engagement ring that is unique. Something that felt very “me”. I fell in love with the kite diamond shape and ended up following Hidden Space on Instagram about 6 years ago. I sent him one of the rings I really liked, and he ended up remembering! But he made it even more me and got one with a pink stone (my favorite color). Everyone who knows me has looked at my ring and said, “that is so Quinn”. Which just seems perfect. I get compliments on it almost daily and I love staring at it. It feels so special to know that he picked out the exact ring I would’ve picked if given the chance.

Q: What is one favorite memory or something special about your relationship that you’d love to share?

My favorite thing about our relationship is how safe it makes me feel. He knows exactly what to say if I’m feeling upset and how to cheer me up. He knows me so well, sometimes better than I know myself. The true test of a relationship is not how you celebrate the good days, but how you support each other on the bad days. And Tommy shows me so much patience and uplifts me when I need it most. I truly am so thankful for how he treats me, and also for how he treats the people I love. We fit together like puzzle pieces.
