Q. How did you guys meet and fall in love?

A. We actually met in elementary school! We have been going to the same school since kindergarten so that is actually how we met. We’ve seen each other throughout the years and I (Sarah) had a crush on him in the 2nd grade. He actually asked me out in the summer before 7th grade but I told him I saw him as more of a friend. Fast forward to 9th grade, we went to the same high school and we were in like 4 of the same classes. We started bonding over like-interests and got to know each other after all these years. He asked me to Winter Formal in sophomore year and the rest is history. We’ve been together for 14 years!

Q. How did you know you wanted to marry each other & who wanted to tie the knot first?

A. I think because we have been together for so long, marriage has always been in the picture but we prioritized other life events like graduating school, moving in together, developing our career, first puppy, first home, second puppy… I think once we realized everyone around us is having kids, that’s when we realized, ‘Oh, okay. Maybe it’s time to tie the knot.”

Q. Why did you choose Hiddenspace and what made you decide on this specific ring?

A. We initially heard about Hiddenspace from my best friend! She mentioned that her friend found her engagement ring through Hiddenspace. I took a look at their IG and made sure to reserve some time to meet Jay when we went to DTLA to look around for engagement rings. I was initially so sure that I was going to get a salt and pepper diamond but fell in love with Moissanites. In seeing all the options for the band and in talking with Jay, we ultimately decided to make a custom ring with a Moissanite with the Stella band. Jay was amazing to work with through the whole process and went above and beyond to deliver our vision.

Q. Tell us about the proposal plan. What about a wedding? Share the details!

A. We had our trip to Seattle planned for a couple months so once Jordan got the ring I think he was planning to ask in Seattle. Jordan had several of our friends help coordinate the “how,” location, photographer, props, etc. It truly took a village to make it happen! The day of, we had plans for a nice dinner and afterwards detoured to the park to meet up with some friends. To my surprise we walked into this secluded area surrounded by friends and he proposed! The pictures will do more justice to the story.We are planning to elope in Hawaii with close friends and family. We have yet to talk about details as we’re still pretty early in the engagement. So who knows?! Things may change!

Q. Bride and groom, any advice to future couples? Anything else you’d like to share with the world?

A. Try to live in the moment! This is a super exciting time so we’re trying to have fun and enjoy everything while we can. Once we started looking for rings, everything’s been a blur and all of a sudden we’re engaged! LOL It’s been so fun celebrating with family and friends. Especially since we’ve waited 14 years, I’m soaking in every moment!
