Ring-matching for Our Favorite Movies to Rewatch this Christmas

Picked by your very HIDDENSPACE team, we introduce to you our favorite movies to rewatch this Christmas and matching rings for the female protagonists!

First up, we have About Time 2013, directed by Richard Curtis. We pair Mary, played by the lovely Rachel McAdams, with our Valentine Ring, one of our very first sapphire designs, embedded with two fuchsia-pink baguette sapphires. Mary is intellectual and shy but definitely effervescent flirtatious! The marvelous take on Mary’s rose-red wedding dress was absolutely unconventional, really giving her that flare of a woman who trusts her intuition and freely expresses herself.

Up next, we have Notting Hill 1999, directed by Roger Michell. We pair Anna Scott, played by the iconic Julia Roberts, with the Callie Ring, accompanied  with a glowing blue sapphire as her center stone. In the beginning, Anna mostly wears dark shades, staying mysterious and cryptic, hiding her true vulnerable self. However, in the scenes where Anna chooses love over her Hollywood glam, Anna envelops herself in soft blue, choosing to let her guard down, embracing her love for William.

Third, we can’t forget La La Land 2016, directed by Damien Chazelle. The Amelia Ring is a perfect match for Mia, played by our charming Emma Stone. Mia is an adventurous dreamer, witty and full of life, and someone who isn’t afraid to take on challenges. During the dance scene with Sebastian, Mia flaunts her vibrant energy in a bright yellow dress, really contrasting with the deep purple sunset backdrop, a beautiful depiction of that Los Angeles sunset on the hills of Mt. Hollywood in Griffith Park.

Last but not least, we have The Great Gatsby 2013, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Daisy Buchanan, played by the talented Carey Mulligan, may seem carefree and lighthearted but deep inside, her faith in the world has been completely shattered. In her “Paralyzed with Happiness” scene, she resembles our Keira Ring. This ring features a bold kite-shaped sapphire but in blush-pink, still giving that mature femininity we love and adore.
